The 11th Annual Sunset Music Festival is Sunday, August 15th!

Join us for the 11th Annual Sunset Music Festival on Sunday, August 15th from Noon until 5 pm at the Wakefield Common on Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield, MA. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy live musical performances by local bands and family-friendly entertainment such as inflatables, carnival games with prizes, raffles, and face painting. A variety of local craftspeople will sell their handmade products. Refreshments, including pizza, hot dogs, snacks, coffee and soft drinks will also be for sale. In addition to the entertainment and festivities, The Jen Di Reeno Foundation will also provide educational materials and sunscreen samples, as well as a sun protection awareness station. Admission to the festival is free and all proceeds benefit The Jen Di Reeno Foundation, Inc.

The Foundation works hard to put on such a wonderful summer event, but we can use your help. We have various volunteer and sponsorship opportunities available. History of The Annual Sunset Music Festival

The Annual Sunset Music Festival originated in the summer of 1999, shortly after Jen’s death and before the formation of The Jen Di Reeno Foundation. A group of Jen’s friends decided to celebrate her life by putting on an event that she would love. A day full of good times with great friends and great music! Jen’s friends made this event even more special by donating all proceeds to Tufts Medical Center, the hospital that provided Jen’s treatment. Because the Sunset Music Festival was such a reflection of Jen’s spirit, The Jen Di Reeno Foundation has pledged to sponsor this annual event. The Jen Di Reeno Foundation continues to keep this promise and has held a wonderful festival each summer since 1999. The goals of the Annual Sunset Music Festival are to provide entertainment, promote skin cancer awareness, and promote awareness of our programs. But most importantly, on this day each year, we gather together to celebrate Jen’s spirit.
