The Grieving Teen
In May of 2007, The Jen Di Reeno Foundation sponsored and co-hosted a lecture for Tufts Medical Center during “Nurses’ Week.”  Helen Fitzgerald, a certified death educator, author, and lecturer presented a lecture called, “The Grieving Teen,” to nurses and social workers from area hospitals.  Lecture attendees gained insight into dealing with grieving teens and young adults who they work with and earned continuing education credits in both nursing and social work.

Music Therapy with Adolescents and Young Adults in the Hospital Setting
The Jen Di Reeno Foundation will sponsor a 5-hour Continuing Education Course on the use of music therapy in the hospital setting at the AMTA-NER Conference in March 2011.  This course will focus on the specific challenges facing music therapists and child life specialists who work with teens and young adults in short and long term care.  We would like to thank the New England Region of the American Music Therapy Association for their help in making this course possible.

Future Lectures/Workshops
The Jen Di Reeno Foundation is interested in sponsoring future lectures and workshops. These programs would feature prominent experts in the field of grief and healing who would share their knowledge with healthcare workers, students, educators or other interested groups.
